You’ve now created your Chimp Giving Group — great job!
Now it’s time to spread the word. “Ask, and you will receive.” The simplest way of asking is by sending out an email informing all your supporters about your fundraising efforts and how they can help.
Here are three EASY tips for crafting a solid email:
1. Explain your fundraiser
Briefly share why someone should support your charity. Tell your story!
2. Give concrete examples how supporters can help
Explain to donors how their gifts will impact your project, programs and/or organization. Allowing donors to understand the outcome of their donations is a powerful tool!
3. Provide the direct link to your Giving Group
Give this link out like candy! As well, on the bottom right hand side of your Giving Group’s page, below the heading “Spread the Word,” you can share your fundraiser through social media. The link will be automatically pre-populated into your message.

“Subject: Double Your Impact!
I’m excited to share with you that [Charity or Giving Group Name] has joined six-time Olympian Clara Hughes to raise money and awareness for mental health. Like Clara, we’ve been working hard to end the stigma surrounding mental health and provide support.
Double your impact! Give between May 5th and June 5th and your donation will be matched, up to $100 per donor. Every dollar you kindly donate will help support our counselling services for those who need it most.
